The iHeartRadio tickets are selling like chips in a Las Vegas casino. We thought our simile pretty clever, since the music festival will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The rock band, Queen and Katy Perry will share top 'slots' opening night.
Other performers include: Usher, Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift, Cold Play, One Direction, Eric Church, Ariana Brande, Zac Brown Band, Ed Sheeran, Bastille and more.
Artists will represent all genres of music and this year's lineup promises to be spectacular. Music critics have dubbed the festival as "biggest live music event in radio history".
If you can't score iHeartRadio tickets, the festival will stream on Yahoo and broadcast on Clear Channels. At a later date, The CW will broadcast a special.
At the 2012 festival, Billie Joe Armstrong, lead singer of Green Days, quit singing amid "Basket Case" to rage about 'their time being cut short', so Usher would have more stage time. He smashed his guitar and stomped off the stage. (Armstrong later went to rehab.)
The inaugural iHeartRadio Music Festival was broadcast via VH1, followed by two years transmissions via The CW.
Ryan Seacrest, of "On Air with Ryan Seacrest", produces and hosts this 4th annual iHeartRadio music festival. Seacrest told "People Magazine" that "People can expect a weekend they will never forget". He promises to occasionally "sneak" a surprise artist into the star-studded mix.
We can only imagine what might be more memorable than last year's performance by Miley Cyrus. Her girl-parts were (barely) covered with teeny pasties, but grabbing herself onstage was a shocker, even for the raunchy-acting Cyrus.
The Village is the latest add-on to the iHeartRadio Music Festival. More than just another stage, "The Lot" is an exciting venue inside The Village, which will enhance the main festival.
The Village will hold its initial performances, featuring Miley Cyrus, Pete Tong, Jason Derulo, Cher Lloyd, Krewella, The Wanted and more. Concertgoers can also take advantage of interactive experiences and fan zones.
