In what promises to be a win-win for all, the Sheryl Crow concert tour is going out with Rascal Flatts this year. In solo concerts, Grammy Award winner Crow rocks the house. Combine her energy with that of the Rascal Flatts trio and you don't need a crystal ball to visualize the outcome.
Sheryl Crow songs have been done by some of the greats, including Eric Clapton and Celine Dion. She's not a newbie with the collaboration thing, having sung backup vocals or performing with artists such as: Sting, John Mellencamp, Don Henley, Rod Stewart, George Straight and more. Before Crow's successful career kicked-off, she was backup singer on Michael Jackson's global tour, "Bad".
Her tunes cross genres, from blues and country to rock, folk and pop. "Tuesday Night Music", Crow's debut album, sold in excess of seven million copies. As a result, Crow won Grammy Awards in categories of "Best New Artist", "Best Female Vocal Performance" and "Record of the Year" for "All I Wanna Do" in 1995.
Back to the Grammy Awards in 1998, Crow attained the award "Best Rock Album of the Year" for her album "The Globe Sessions". She won "Best Female Rock Vocal Performance" in 2000 for "Sweet Child O' Mine" and again in 2001, same category, for "There Goes the Neighborhood".
Crow shared the Academy of Country Music Award with Brooks & Dunn and Vince Gill in 2007 for "Building Bridges".
Then, there are those tacky in-your-face awards, like when "Touch Weekly Magazine" bestowed Crow with the title Most Unlucky in Love Female in Hollywood in its April 2007 edition.
Released in 2008, Crow's album "Detours" hit a solid #2 on US Billboard charts.
Here's a good-to-know: For two years, Crow was music instructor for autistic children, resulting in her advocacy of "Save the Music", an organization that endorses keeping music alive in our schools.
We've all got our favorite Sheryl Crow songs from "My Favorite Mistake" to "Everyday is a Winding Road". As long as there is a Sheryl Crow tour to look forward to, "Tomorrow Never Dies"!Do you have your Sheryl Crow tickets yet?
