Dixie Chicks was originally from Dallas, Texas and their band was founded in about 1989; the current band crews are Martie Erwin, her sister Emily Erwin and lead singer Natalie Maines. They are known as one of the best "Country Rock and Country Pop" bands in United States.
Whenever their business were very fortunate to turn around, they hit big on their songs "There's Your Trouble" and "Wide Open Spaces", that's how their albums sold over 30.5 million copies as of May 2013!
As for December 2012, Dixie Chicks recorded 13 Grammy awards including American Music Awards and Grammy awards out of total 21 nominations.
We had 2 different fan reviews about Dixie Chicks concerts in the past, see below:
"This concert was great. I have been to 4 for the Dixie Chicks but this was the best. You could feel the electricity in the air." ~ C.H.X., Merritt Island, Florida ~
"As always, the Dixie Chicks came out and rocked the house. This is the third time I've seen them, and Natalie, Marty, and Emily are better than ever. The sound quality was a little questionable in the beginning, but seemed to improve a bit after a few songs. The set list was appropriate for everyone, including most of their radio hits, but as a die hard, it would have been nice to hear a few more from the first album Wide Open Spaces. The graphics and lighting were somewhat harsh and unrefined, however this is probably due to the low ticket sales of this tour and the resulting smaller budget. The DCX are a force of talent and truth, and are fortified by the opposition to their opinions. My suggestion for the DCX next tour, is smaller venues with more dates. Getting a little more down and dirty might prove to be gratifying to the Chicks." ~ Tara from Mansfield, Texas ~
Update on August 2013:
Dixie Chicks announced that they would perform concert tours to promote their latest album "Long Time Gone" in Canada cities (Vancouver, Dawson Creek, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Oshawa, Toronto) starting October 2013.
